Testimonials

Take a look at what our students have to say about LGS JT College Counselling.

Fayez Navid Anwar

Stanford University, Class of 2025
Head boy, LGS JT A Level Class of 2021

"My experience with the LGS JT Counselling Department, and Sir Mustafa in particular, was immaculate. It prepared me perfectly for the difficult and tactical process of applying to US universities. For me, the journey necessitated self-discovery first and foremost. Sir Mustafa’s dedication allowed conversations to stretch beyond just formalities and introductions, instead touching on a breadth of topics ranging from peculiar mathematical theorems to the tenets of religious philosophy. A book he recommended on the latter introduced me to ideas that eventually helped me compose one of my final Stanford supplements. The department’s passion and commitment was made clear by the long hours they were ready to commit to reviewing applications iteratively, and they made sure that a switch to online meetings did not hinder communication. The entire team has my deepest gratitude for the essential guidance they provided me over the course of my two years in the A Level program."

Ahmed Farrukh

New York University, Abu Dhabi (NYU AD), Class of 2025
LGS JT A Level Class of 2021

"I attribute part of my success in securing an admission offer to the amazing Counselling Department that supported and helped me throughout the process. Their systematic approach kept me on track to meet my deadlines and ensured that all relevant topics were discussed beforehand. I appreciate how they did not force their opinions on me but were open to discussion and willing to concede to my arguments. In my discussions with Sir Mustafa, I felt that he argued not to prove his point but to make sure that I was choosing what I really wanted. They were quick to complete their end of the work before the deadline, and all it needed was a single email, or at times, not even that. Overall, I felt that they helped me get rid of the many anxieties that surround the admission season, and helped me showcase my best to universities."

Muhammad Ahmar Jamal

Bilkent University, Electrical Engineering, Class of 2025
LGS JT A Level Class of 2021

"A2 is a stressful and crucial period in the life of an A Level student. Not only do the studies get a lot tougher, but the SATS and university applications make it even harder. It is at this time that students need a reliable counselling department. My experience with LGS JT’s Counselling Department was great. When I first started working with Sir Mustafa (the Head of Counselling), I did not know anything about university applications. He taught me everything from scratch, like university research and selection. He guided me throughout the writing process, and I recall many days when we were in school, working on my applications till 5 pm, even though his job time finished at 2:30 pm. He treated me and my friends as his sons. Unlike other counsellors who just guide students once, he helped me come up with new, innovative ideas for my university essays and also checked my written work, word by word. Due to the unparalleled guidance and support of other people in the Counselling Department like Ms. Rabia, I was able to get into Bilkent University with 100 percent scholarship in Electrical Engineering."
