Important Information on the Counselling Registration Form (CRF)

We would recommend that you fill out the CRF as soon as possible, so we can initiate or progress further in your counselling process. The CRF is required in order for you to:

  • Register for applying to universities through the LGS JT Department of Counselling in the 2022-23 admissions cycle.
    • This is applicable to all A1 students (going into A-2 in August 2022) who want to apply for any university admissions in the 2022-23 cycle, no matter when or where they are considering applying (including Pakistan) and what field of study they plan on pursuing at university.
  • Formally initiate or continue your counselling process with us.
    • If you have already started counselling sessions with us and verbally shared the information required by the CRF, we have used it in our discussions to counsel you on these important choices. However, it is important that you document this information for yourself and us, so we can take your counselling process forward in an organized way (refer to purposes of the CRF below).

Purposes of the CRF:

The Counselling Registration Form (CRF) serves the following important purposes for you and us:

  • Essential Information for Counselors: The CRF is designed to provide us a comprehensive picture of your profile, background and initial preferences, so that we can guide you accordingly and give you customized advice. It also allows you to formally register yourself and share important information in writing with us for your university admissions counselling process.
  • Compile and Document Important Information: The form will require you to compile and write down important information (e.g. your academic background, extracurricular profile and financial information). This information is required by university application forms across the globe.
  • Develop Self Awareness: The questions on this form will encourage you to start thinking about and writing down your preferences, interests and the reasons behind them. This self-reflection and awareness is essential for success in the university application process.

NOTE – Choices Not Final: Your choices on this form do not represent your final decisions. They are meant to capture your current profile and preferences. We require this information from each student to effectively counsel and give them relevant advice. After you have had a chance to consult our counselors, the final version of your responses will be due in September 2022 (on a separate “Intent to Apply Form”).

Important Information and Instructions:

Please take note of the following information and instructions before you start filling out the form:

  • Confidential Responses: All your responses on this form are strictly confidential and will remain so.
  • Use Enter/Return: When answering open response questions on the form, use the Enter/Return key to move to the next line.
